The Saint Simeon Catholic Cemetery of Aurora, Colorado is a religious organization that serves the Archdiocese of Denver. This is an excellent location to visit if you’re traveling throughout the region. A stroll during the day might be a nice way to unwind. They organize special activities throughout the year as part of their ministry of the Catholic Church, so you need to schedule your journey accordingly!
For more than a century, Mount Olivet has held a Mass on the first Friday of each month to pray. On the first Friday of each month, at 6:30 p.m., the Mount Olivet Chapel is open to visitors for this one-of-a-kind Mass. A live stream of the Mass is made available to families as well. The dates for each family are shown on the website, as well as social media sites, and links to the monthly live broadcast are also provided. Following the Mass, a video illustrating all of the deceased who have been brought to the care of the Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary in recent months will be shown. This monthly Mass is open to everyone.
The Saint Simeon Catholic Cemetery also provides activities for people of all ages, and it encourages youngsters in middle school and high school to get together for a Night at the Cemetery! On October 5th and 6th, there will be an overnight event taking place at the cemetery from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.! Prepare to participate in an intriguing evening tour of the cemetery, where you’ll meet saints from the past if you’re interested. Who wouldn’t want to add this spectaculaI event to their calendar in October? Visitors may enjoy hot chocolate and popcorn after the tour. The mass will be conducted at the Gallagher outdoor chapel of the Mt. Olivet Chapel unless the weather has other ideas.
The Saint Simeon Catholic Cemetery has a Brew Night at the Cemetery for the more mature crowd! On October 7th from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., anyone 21 and over is welcome to attend, but an RSVP is required. A similar tour will be given to adults to get into a Halloween mood and meet the saints of the past, just like at previous events. Visitors may enjoy provided beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres after the tour is completed! The Mass will take place outdoors in the Gallagher outdoor chapel of Mt. Olivet Chapel (weather dependent, of course).
