Lakeside Amusement Park

Lakeside Amusement Park, a family-owned business located in Lakeside, Colorado, was founded in 1908. It was previously known as White City. Adolph Zang purchased the site and converted it to a trolley park before selling it to Denver brewer Adolph Zang. Today, the park is a Colorado landmark and a beloved destination for families. There are rides, games, and other family-friendly activities to enjoy. It is at 4601 Sheridan Boulevard in Denver, CO 80212.

The first White City Amusement Park opened in Colorado’s Denver County in 1908, making it one of the oldest in the United States. It is located about a half-mile west of downtown Denver and was the final amusement park constructed in the town of White City. A dance hall, swimming pool, theater, complete bars, and even a speedway are featured. The park is one of the few locations in the United States where you can go to an amusement park without breaking the bank. For $4 per person, you may ride one of the attractions and enjoy other activities at the theme park. Wristbands are available for a few dollars, which can be quite useful if you intend to bring your family.

Despite the fact that Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver, CO has been forced to close its doors, officials from the park are hoping to re-open it by mid-summer if the weather permits. There are still several details to be finalized, such as recruiting extra staff, but the park is excited about providing affordable family fun to the state of Denver. The park will be accessible to everyone. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, as long as it doesn’t contain alcohol or glass.

Before the park was finished, certain structures were built in the area. The tower of gems and the renowned shooting-the-chutes ride are among them. Ben Krasner, who purchased the park later and restored it, changed its name to Lakeside Amusement Park and modified it. The jeweled tower became the park’s logo. Concerts, dance marathons, and plays were all presented at the Casino Theater. Ben Krasner bought Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver in 1935 and began renovations. The old Exposition-style buildings were demolished and replaced with modern architecture, while the attractions and structures were updated.

Take some time to see the Zoo in the vicinity while you’re at the state park. The Denver Zoo is a historic landmark that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Dawn. Entry to the park costs a nominal fee, and rides are charged per ride. The park is open daily from noon until 7 p.m., and on weekends it’s open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Denver Zoo is also open year-round. It is easily accessible by bus or taxi from the Denver Tech Center for your convenience.
